The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is reportedly arriving earlier than last year’s model, bringing a slimmer body, improved selfie camera, and a slightly tweaked processor. New leaks from South Korea reveal that the phone could land on September 19, exactly one week ahead of the Galaxy S24 FE’s announcement last year.
Launch date and price expectations
Samsung has allegedly locked in September 19, 2025, as the date to unveil its newest Fan Edition device in its home market. While that is only a modest shift forward from the S24 FE’s September 26 reveal, it still signals the company’s push to get the device into consumers’ hands earlier. The previous model became available on October 3, so availability for the S25 FE could also creep forward into late September.
Pricing in South Korea is rumored to come in under KRW 1 million, translating to roughly $721 or €620 at current exchange rates. Sources suggest that Samsung may match last year’s price or introduce only a small increase. US pricing remains unconfirmed, but a tag in the $700 range seems likely if the company maintains its competitive positioning.
Design and display details
The Galaxy S25 FE appears to continue Samsung tradition of delivering a premium look without the flagship price tag. Leaked specifications point to dimensions of 161.3 x 76.6 x 7.4 mm, a weight of 190 g, and IP68 certification for dust and water resistance. Compared to its predecessor, the new model is marginally shorter, narrower, thinner, and lighter.
Up front, the device is said to feature a 6.7 inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2340 resolution, a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The slimmer build does come with one trade off a slightly smaller battery.
Hardware and performance
Under the hood, the S25 FE is rumored to use Samsung Exynos 2400 processor, a minor bump from the Exynos 2400e powering the S24 FE. This should offer a modest performance lift, especially when paired with Android 16 running One UI 8 out of the box.
The battery capacity reportedly drops to 4,500 mAh from 4,700 mAh, but the phone retains 45 W wired charging and 15 W wireless charging. This combination could still deliver solid battery life while topping up faster than before.
Camera upgrades
While most of the rear camera setup will mirror the S24 FE with a 50 MP main sensor with OIS, a 12 MP ultrawide, and an 8 MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom the front camera is set for an upgrade. The new 12 MP selfie camera is expected to deliver sharper, more detailed shots, especially in low light, marking one of the most noticeable improvements in this generation.
