Samsung’s upcoming budget contender, the Galaxy A07, has surfaced once again this time in crystal clear renders alongside a detailed spec sheet. The new leak not only confirms much of what has been rumored but also introduces a standout promise: six years of Android and security updates, a rarity in the entry level market.
A familiar look with fresh colors
Fresh images shared by a reliable tipster reveal that the Galaxy A07 will be offered in three stylish finishes green, grey, and a light bluish white. The phone retains a straightforward, no nonsense design, complete with a waterdrop-style notch and slim side bezels, though a slightly thicker chin still frames the bottom.
This design approach is typical for Samsung’s A series, aiming to balance affordability with everyday usability. The IP54 rating means it should survive light splashes and dusty environments, adding a touch of durability to its budget friendly package.
Display and hardware upgrades
The Galaxy A07 is expected to sport a 6.7-inch PLS LCD panel with a 1,600 × 720 HD+ resolution and a smooth 90 Hz refresh rate. While it is not competing with flagship-level sharpness, the high refresh rate should offer noticeably smoother scrolling and animations compared to older budget models.
Under the hood, Samsung is reportedly using the MediaTek Helio G99 a 6nm chipset known for delivering reliable performance in the lower midrange category. It is paired with 6 GB of RAM and will run Android 15 with Samsung’s latest One UI 7 out of the box.
Camera setup for essential photography
On the back, the Galaxy A07 features a vertical pill shaped camera module with two sensors: a 50 MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2 MP secondary sensor, likely dedicated to macro or depth shots. For selfies and video calls, an 8 MP front camera sits neatly in the display notch. While not aiming for professional photography, these specs should handle everyday shots and social media use comfortably.
Big battery and classic connectivity
Samsung is sticking with a 5,000 mAh battery, promising all day use for most users, paired with 15 W wired charging via USB-C. The Galaxy A07 also retains a few features that are disappearing from pricier phones namely, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and microSD card slot for expandable storage.
Connectivity options include dual SIM, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.3, offering solid coverage for the basics.
Six years of updates- a budget phone’s biggest surprise
Perhaps the most eye-catching part of this leak is Samsung’s pledge to provide six major Android version upgrades and six years of security patches. If true, this would keep the Galaxy A07 current up to Android 21, making it one of the longest supported budget smartphones on the market.
Expected launch
While Samsung has yet to confirm a date, the Galaxy A07 is expected to debut this month in select markets, with the U.S. possibly on the list for later availability. Pricing remains under wraps, but if it stays close to the $100–$150 range, it could become a go-to choice for users seeking a long lasting budget device.
