Poco M7 Plus 5G launches in India with a 7,000 mAh battery, Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chip, 144 Hz display, and slim 8.4 mm body starting at ₹13,999 ($160).

Poco has expanded its M series lineup with the launch of the Poco M7 Plus 5G in India, a follow up to last year’s M6 Plus. The new budget contender takes aim at power hungry users with a feature set rarely seen in this price range led by a 7,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery.

This battery not only supports 33 W fast charging but also 18 W reverse charging, letting you share power with other gadgets. Despite the large capacity, Poco claims the M7 Plus holds the title of the slimmest smartphone with a 7,000 mAh battery, measuring just 8.4 mm thick.

Large, fluid display with durable protection

On the front, the device sports a 6.9-inch Full HD+ LCD display offering a 144 Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming. The panel peaks at 550 nits brightness, making it easier to view outdoors, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

A centered punch hole houses the 8 MP front-facing camera, while slim bezels help maximize screen real estate.

Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 under the hood

Performance is handled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage. For those who need more space, a microSD slot allows storage expansion up to 2 TB a rare perk in today’s smartphone market.

The M7 Plus runs Android 15 with Poco HyperOS interface and will receive two years of OS upgrades alongside four years of security patches. Poco has also integrated Google Gemini for enhanced AI driven features and productivity.

Dual cameras with AI enhancements

The rear setup includes a 50 MP main camera and an auxiliary secondary sensor, supported by features such as AI Dynamic Shot, AI Eraser, and AI Sky replacement. The 8 MP selfie shooter is designed for social media-ready images and video calls.

Both the front and rear cameras can record 1080p video at 30fps, with HDR support on both sides for improved contrast and color.

Build, extras, and colors

The Poco M7 Plus carries an IP64 rating for resistance to dust and light splashes. Other extras include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IR blaster, and a weight of 217 g.

It will be available in Aqua Blue, Carbon Black, and Chrome Silver finishes. Pricing is set at ₹13,999 (~$160 USD) for the 6 GB/128 GB model and ₹14,999 (~$170 USD) for the 8 GB/128 GB variant. Sales begin in India on August 19.

Global availability

While the Poco M7 Plus 5G is launching first in India, industry sources suggest a broader rollout could follow in select Asian and European markets later this year. Poco budget friendly 5G models have historically reached regions such as Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, and parts of Latin America within months of their Indian debut. However, there is no official word yet on a U.S. release, which remains unlikely given Poco current market strategy.
