The iconic Pebble smartwatch is making a stunning return with the Pebble Time 2, blending its beloved minimalist charm with modern upgrades. Featuring a premium stainless steel build, a vibrant color e-paper display, and unmatched 30-day battery life, this comeback is set to reignite the wearable market.
The reunion began when Pebble founder, Eric Migikowski, reclaimed the Pebble trademark and officially rebranded its revived core device models as the Pebble 2 Duo and Pebble Time 2, the latter essentially a reimagined successor to the canceled 2016 model.
The Pebble Time 2 continues the lineage with a sleek stainless steel body, tactile metal buttons, and RGB backlighting that deliver a refined, premium feel. It weighs in at just 48 grams with the strap, and a flat glass lens and small bezel enhance visibility and aesthetic appeal.

its display is a 1.5-inch, 64-color e-paper touchscreen with a flat surface that is paired with customizable color backlighting for reduced glare and better use in low-light settings. Underneath, it runs the open-source PebbleOS, features a heart rate monitor, compass, second mic, speaker, and is compatible with standard 22mm straps.
Battery life is considered a particular strength with the Pebble lasting up to 30 days on a single charge, which few competitors can match. This continues Pebble’s tradition of prioritizing durability and simplicity over flashy, short-lived screens.

The Pebble time 2 is available for pre-order for $225. Existing pre-order customers for the Pebble 2 Duo can opt for the Time 2 through an upcoming survey,, without having to cancel their original order.
This revival follows the 2025 open source release of Google’s PebbleOS, which enables core devices to build on its software heritage and provide compatibility with thousands of existing watchfaces and apps.
Pebble”s evolution from Kickstarter event to closed brand and now back again reflects both the enduring appeal of the minimalist smartwatch and the power of community and open-source innovation. With a mix of classic design cues and thoughtful modern upgrades, the Pebble Time 2 feels both nostalgic and relevant, a fitting return for a true smartwatch pioneer.
