Itel Zeno 20: Itel Zeno 20 in India with a 6.6-inch 90Hz display, 5000mAh battery, IP54 protection, AI assistant, and Android 14 Go from ₹5,999 ($72).

If you have been waiting for a budget phone that feels modern without pushing the price too high, Itel latest release might just surprise you. The new Zeno 20 is built to keep everyday use simple and reliable, yet it quietly adds a few features you would normally expect in more expensive models. From the way it looks and feels in hand to how it handles daily tasks, this phone is designed to give first time buyers and practical users a little more than the basics without making them spend extra.

Display and Design

At the front, the Zeno 20 features a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate, making scrolling through apps, chats, and social media smoother than usual in this segment. The phone carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, and Itel includes an anti-drop protective case in the box, which adds extra durability.

The design also brings a textured finish on the back for a better grip and a waterdrop notch housing the selfie camera.

Performance and Hardware

Powering the device is an octa-core Unisoc T610 processor. It comes with a CPU setup of 8x Cortex A55 cores (4 at 1.6GHz + 4 at 1.2GHz) and a PowerVR GE8322 GPU clocked at 550MHz. This hardware setup delivers enough performance for daily tasks like messaging, browsing, and light gaming.

On benchmarks, the Zeno 20 scores 130K+ points on AnTuTu, which is in line with most entry level smartphones. Users can choose between 3GB or 4GB RAM, with up to 128GB storage and a dedicated microSD slot for expansion. Itel also offers virtual RAM expansion up to 8GB through memory fusion, which makes switching between apps a bit smoother.

The phone runs Android 14 (Go Edition), a lighter version of Android made for entry level hardware. Itel also adds features like Dynamic Bar (notifications around the selfie camera), Find My Phone, and Landscape Mode.

The phone includes Aivana 2.0, an AI assistant that supports Hindi and English voice commands. It can open apps, place WhatsApp calls, create captions, adjust settings, or even solve math problems using just your voice.

Cameras and Security

The 13MP rear camera with HDR support handles everyday photos, while an 8MP front camera is available for selfies and video calls. Security features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock.

Battery and Connectivity

The 5000mAh battery ensures all-day use, and charging is handled via a USB-C port with 15W fast charging. Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The phone also supports a 3.5mm headphone jack and DTS audio for improved sound quality.

Launch Date, Price, and Availability

The Itel Zeno 20 will be available exclusively on Amazon.in, with shipments beginning on August 25.

Itel is offering the phone in two memory variants. The 3GB RAM with 64GB storage option is priced at ₹5,999 ($72) under an early bird offer, after which the price increases by ₹250. The 4GB RAM with 128GB storage model is priced at ₹6,899 ($83) at launch, with the regular price set ₹300 higher. Buyers can choose between three colors: Aurora Blue, Starlit Black, and Space Titanium.

The Itel Zeno 20 does not aim to compete with high end or 5G phones. Instead, it focuses on being reliable, easy to use, and affordable. For everyday tasks like messaging, calls, social apps, and light browsing, it offers smooth performance, a sturdy build, and a long lasting battery. For under ₹7,000 (around $84), the Zeno 20 delivers a rare mix of 90Hz display, IP54 protection, simple Android software, and AI voice support features that make it one of the most practical budget phones in India this year.
