Huawei MatePad Mini leak reveals 8.8-inch OLED display, ultra-thin 5.1mm body, 255g weight, and possible Kirin 9010 processor, making it one of Huawei’s lightest and most portable tablets.
The device is expected to feature an 8.8-inch OLED panel carrying a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. The 16:10 aspect ratio suggests it could be suitable for both media consumption and productivity tasks, giving it an edge among compact tablets.
Design leaks indicate an extremely thin body at just 5.1mm, paired with a feather-light 255 grams in weight. These figures would make it one of the slimmest and lightest tablets available, targeting users who prefer a highly portable form factor.

Huawei is said to be adopting a 2.99mm equilateral perimeter with a hole-punch front design, minimizing bezels and maximizing screen presence. A soft-light display technology has also been mentioned, which may reduce glare and improve comfort during extended viewing.
While the exact chipset remains unclear, early clues from third-party software hint at the Kirin 9010. If accurate, this would place the tablet in a strong position for performance, particularly since Huawei has been relying more on its in-house processors.
With leaks already stirring interest, the MatePad Mini is shaping up to be an attractive choice for users seeking a compact yet premium-feeling tablet. Official details such as pricing and release timeline are still under wraps, but expectations remain high.
