The upcoming Vivo flagship could set a new benchmark in mobile photography. Leaks suggest the X300 Ultra may debut with two 200MP cameras, offering sharper detail, powerful zoom, and ZEISS-quality optics all in one device.
According to the leak, the dual 200MP system will include a powerful main sensor alongside a periscope telephoto lens, both tuned with ZEISS optics. Vivo’s long-running partnership with the German lens maker is expected to continue with upgraded coatings and optical enhancements that promise cleaner, sharper results. Completing the rear setup is a 50MP ultra-wide lens, giving the phone a versatile 200+200+50 trio.
A periscope built for detail
What stands out most is the periscope module. Reports point to a large 1/1.4-inch 200MP sensor, likely the newly announced Samsung ISOCELL HPB customized for Vivo. The sensor sits inside a large bottom-mounted periscope lens, paired with ZEISS’s new T* coating and an optical focus prism. This combination is designed to capture more light, reduce reflections, minimize color fringing, and deliver zoom images that look natural rather than heavily processed. If accurate, this setup could give Vivo a major advantage in long-range and low-light photography.

Selfies, speed, and imaging chip
The front camera is also receiving a big upgrade, with rumors pointing to a 50MP selfie sensor featuring autofocus and a wide 92-degree field of view perfect for both portraits and group shots.
The X300 Ultra is expected to run on Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, while the regular X300 and X300 Pro are tipped to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500. Vivo is also said to be integrating its own self-developed video and imaging chip, ensuring faster processing and improved computational photography.
Expected release window
The Vivo X300 Ultra is expected to launch in China later this year, though global availability remains unconfirmed. If these leaks prove true, Vivo may deliver an industry-exclusive flagship with dual 200MP sensors, ZEISS-level optics, and cutting-edge image processing making it a rare camera phone that feels equally confident in daylight and after dark.
