Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Galaxy S26 Ultra leak teases rounder corners, a slimmer 7.8–7.9 mm body, a possible 7.0″ display, Qi2 charging, a 200 MP camera, Android 16 with One UI 8, and even a lineup shakeup.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra looks set to be Samsung’s most refined Ultra yet. Leaks point to a bigger screen, slimmer body, softer corners, and even magnetic charging. With Android 16 out of the box, this Ultra could feel brand new without looking wildly different. Early reports hint at a phone that blends style with everyday ease.

Design and Dimensions

Reports agree that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be taller and wider than its predecessor, measuring about 163.4 × 77.9 mm compared to the S25 Ultra’s 162.8 × 77.6 mm. That is a small but measurable increase of 0.6 mm in height and 0.3 mm in width. At the same time, the phone should be a bit slimmer, with leaked thickness figures ranging from 7.8 mm to 7.9 mm, down from the 8.2 mm profile of the S25 Ultra.

The most visible difference is in the corners. Multiple leaks highlight rounder, more ergonomic edges, bringing back a look reminiscent of the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The mockups suggest the bezels remain similar to the S25 Ultra, with the change coming mainly from the softened corners.

Display and Panel

Because the chassis is slightly taller and wider while bezels appear unchanged, some reports speculate that the screen could grow to around 7.0 inches from the S25 Ultra’s 6.9-inch panel. This remains unconfirmed, but if accurate, it would give Samsung its largest Ultra display yet.

Dummy Units, Camera Island, and Qi2 Hints

Physical dummy units show all three S26 models and confirm a return to camera islands. On the Ultra, the island is small and tidy, grouping the lenses together. The rumored S26 Edge, however, sports a bold full-width bar across the back. The so-called S26 Pro sits between these designs.

One intriguing detail is a circular depression on the back of the dummies, which strongly suggests the presence of Qi2 magnetic charging support. If true, it would be the first time Samsung added magnetic alignment for wireless charging on its Galaxy S line, offering easier snap-on charging and potentially more consistent speeds.

Cameras, Performance, and Battery

The camera system is expected to remain familiar: a 200 MP main sensor, alongside a 50 MP ultrawide, a 50 MP 5× telephoto, a 12 MP 3× telephoto, and a 12 MP selfie camera. This setup mirrors the S25 Ultra but could come with tuning and refinements.

Performance should be top-tier again, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (sometimes referred to as “Elite 2”) in certain markets, with Samsung’s Exynos variant covering others. Reports also point to 16GB of RAM as standard, paired with multiple storage options to match different user needs. Powering it all will likely be a 5,000 mAh battery with up to 60W wired charging, though capacity increases are doubtful given the slimmer frame.

Software-Android 16 and One UI 8.0

Out of the box, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to ship with Android 16 topped with One UI 8.0. This combination should bring smoother animations, deeper customization options, and tighter integration with Samsung’s ecosystem. With the company’s ongoing commitment to long-term updates, buyers can also expect several years of major Android upgrades.

Lineup and Timing

The S26 lineup may also see a naming shakeup, with the S26 Pro replacing the standard model and the S26 Edge replacing the Plus. Launch timing is still unofficial, but leaks consistently frame a January–February 2026 reveal, which would align with Samsung’s recent release cycles.

A Refined Ultra

Taken together, the leaks suggest Samsung is not chasing shock value this time. Instead, it is refining the Ultra with rounder corners, a slimmer body, Android 16, and possible Qi2 charging. For a phone that is already known for being large and powerful, these thoughtful tweaks could be what makes the S26 Ultra feel genuinely new when it arrives.
