iQOO promises a serious contender to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, positioning the 15 model as a performance powerhouse boasting large battery life, blistering charge speeds, and features tailored for heavy users.
iQOO’s own product manager, known as Galant V, revealed on Weibo that the iQOO 15 will host the most extensive 8K vapor-chamber cooling structure ever, aimed at unleashing full potential from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 engine.

Display coverage includes a 6.85-inch Samsung OLED panel, echoing that found in the Galaxy S26 Ultra, delivering 2K resolution, a 144 Hz LTPO refresh rate, and an eye-catching peak brightness of 6,000 nits. The screen also features anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint coatings.
A huge 7,000 mAh power pack will provide endurance, and charging speeds include 100 W through wires plus wireless charging support. The software layer is expected to pair Android 16 with iQOO’s OriginOS 6 overlay.
Photo capabilities include a rear triple 50-megapixel camera array, with one module offering periscope-style zoom. The device will bring authentication via ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint reader, screen safeguarded by Crystal Diamond Glass, metal middle frame, reinforced glass back design, and IP68/69 durability.
In contrast, the iPhone 17 Pro Max recently debuted with the new A19 Pro processing core from Apple. iQOO is clearly aiming to match or exceed that performance with its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 system paired with superior cooling hardware.
The iQOO 15 carries strong promise as a flagship alternative, blending aggressive performance tech, thermal innovations, and high-end display and battery specs that may give the iPhone 17 Pro Max serious competition.
