iQOO 15: iQOO 15 launches soon with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a glowing LED camera ring, 6.85-inch AMOLED display, and a massive 7000mAh battery with 100W fast charging.

Look once and you will want to look again. iQOO has started teasing the iQOO 15, and the first thing that catches the eye is not the specs but the RGB LED ring around the rear camera. The official teaser shows a flat-edged phone with a big, round camera module that lights up in color, giving the device a bold look you can recognize even from a distance.

A glowing design with periscope power

The circular island is not just for looks. According to leaks, the glowing LED strip around the camera ring can light up in different patterns, syncing with notifications, charging, or even camera activity. The island itself may be a little thicker this time, but for good reason it is making room for a periscope telephoto lens, returning after skipping a generation. Fans who care about long-range zoom will likely welcome that trade-off.

Adding even more flair, multiple leaks and a hands-on clip point to a color-changing rear panel that shifts tones depending on the angle and light. Combined with the glowing LED, the iQOO 15 is aiming to make design as much of a talking point as performance.

Display built for the spotlight

The display story looks just as strong. iQOO’s product team has highlighted a 2K Samsung “Everest / NB Plus” AMOLED with better brightness, contrast, and reduced reflections. Reports peg the panel at 6.85 inches with up to 6,000 nits peak brightness and anti-glare treatment, putting it firmly in elite territory for clarity and outdoor use.

Notably, the iQOO 15’s display also carries Dolby Vision certification and introduces the industry’s only triple-sensor hardware for 1-nit ultra-dark soft light, allowing precise brightness control across the front, back, and top of the body. According to product manager Ge Lan V, the 2K panel even surpasses Apple’s Pro Max models in both static and dynamic detail. With 98.1% first-frame brightness, it outpaces the Android average of 80% and Apple’s 96.69%, helping reduce issues like ghosting and blurred fonts in fast motion.

Next-gen power and battery muscle

The iQOO 15 is widely tipped to debut the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which Qualcomm will unveil on September 23. Early Geekbench listings for the V2505A model already hint at the performance levels we can expect. With up to 16GB of RAM, gaming and multitasking should feel seamless.

Battery specs are just as bold. Multiple leaks mention a 7,000mAh cell, with some pointing as high as 8,000mAh. Pair that with 100W wired and wireless charging, and the iQOO 15 could deliver some of the best endurance on any flagship today.

Camera setup

The iQOO 15 is expected to feature a triple 50MP setup: a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.5-inch type sensor, a 50MP telephoto with periscope zoom (around 3x optical), and an ultrawide lens. While exact sensor models are still under wraps, this setup suggests a balanced approach to wide, zoom, and ultrawide photography, with the periscope bringing stronger optical zoom back into the mix.

Software and ecosystem

The iQOO 15 will be the first device to run vivo’s new OriginOS 6, which introduces system-level edge AI, improved cross-device ecosystem features, and smoother daily performance.

Launch timing

Pre-reservations have already started in China, and reports suggest an October unveiling, possibly in the third week, with wider availability following soon after.

The iQOO 15 is not trying to blend in it wants to glow, literally. With its LED camera ring, color-shifting design, OriginOS 6 software, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 power, massive battery, and advanced triple-camera system, this flagship is shaping up to be both a performance beast and a style statement. If iQOO delivers smart software to match the hardware, the glowing halo could become one of the most memorable design touches on an Android phone this year.
