Honor MagicPad 3 Pro: Honor MagicPad 3 Pro launches with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, MagicOS 10, big battery, and pro features to rival Apple’s iPad Pro.
Honor has officially confirmed that the upcoming Magic 8 series smartphones and the MagicPad 3 Pro tablet will be the first devices powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The company calls this milestone “one door, two supremes.” While the Magic 8 has already been spotted in hands-on videos, the spotlight is shifting toward Honor’s most ambitious tablet.
Pro vs. Pro the strongest against the strongest
Honor says the MagicPad 3 Pro is the most powerful tablet in its history and the first time a flagship mobile processor debuts in both a phone and a tablet at once. The brand describes the matchup against Apple’s iPad Pro as “Pro versus Pro the strongest against the strongest.”

Real-life photos reveal a sleek rear design and polished finish, signaling Honor’s intent to compete directly with Apple’s premium lineup.
Record-breaking Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition
At the center of the MagicPad 3 Pro is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition, built on a 3nm process. It features two 4.61 GHz super cores, six 3.63 GHz performance cores, and a 1.2 GHz Adreno 840 GPU.
This makes it the first tablet in the world to launch alongside a flagship smartphone using the same top-tier processor. From heavy gaming to professional creative apps, Honor expects this chip to keep it ahead well into next year.
MagicOS 10 and advanced features
The MagicPad 3 Pro will debut MagicOS 10, a PC-like interface offering smooth multi-window multitasking and desktop-style interaction. Add-ons like a keyboard and stylus aim to make it a true productivity machine.
Honor’s Oasis Eye Protection Display, Spatial Audio 3.0, and the massive Qinghai Lake battery likely above 10,000mAh round out the feature set, promising comfort, immersion, and long-lasting performance.
Years of investment, October debut
Honor says it has spent nearly 10 billion yuan across four years to develop its tablet technology. The result is a device designed to compete with the best in the industry.
The MagicPad 3 Pro is expected to launch in October 2025 alongside the Magic 8 series, potentially giving Android users their first true Pro-level iPad alternative.
