Huawei Nova 14i: Huawei has unveiled the Nova 14i with a huge 7000 mAh battery, Snapdragon 680, 6.95-inch display, and a new X Button for instant shortcuts and emergency calling.

Huawei has introduced the Nova 14i, a new addition to its Nova 14 series. The phone is built for people who want long battery life and easy-to-use features instead of flashy extras. It comes with a huge 7000 mAh battery, a nearly 7-inch screen, and a special X Button for quick access to apps, tools, or even an emergency call. This makes it a dependable choice for anyone tired of phones that die before the day ends.

Power that lasts all day and beyond

The biggest talking point here is the 7000 mAh battery (6900 mAh rated). Huawei says the Nova 14i can play local video for up to 26 hours on a single charge. Even better, a quick 10-minute top-up delivers over 3 hours of video playback thanks to Huawei SuperCharge technology.

To keep things safe, Huawei has included triple safety films and intelligent charging management to help extend battery health over time. This combination makes the Nova 14i one of the most battery-friendly phones available right now.

A big screen packed into a slim frame

The Nova 14i is built around a 6.95-inch FullView LCD with FHD+ resolution (2376 × 1080 pixels), a 90 Hz refresh rate, and a 270 Hz touch sampling rate for smooth visuals and fast touch response. It displays 16.7 million colors and, surprisingly for an LCD panel, supports Always-On Display (AOD).

In terms of size, the phone measures 171.6 × 79.9 × 8.9 mm and weighs about 216 g with the battery included. Huawei is offering it in Blue and Black, both with the company’s Star Orbit Ring design on the rear. Despite its large battery, the slim 8.9 mm profile makes it easier to handle than many bulky battery phones.

Hardware built for everyday use

Inside, the Nova 14i runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset with an octa-core CPU (4 × Cortex-A73 at 2.4 GHz and 4 × Cortex-A53 at 1.9 GHz). It is paired with 8 GB of RAM and comes in two storage options: 128 GB or 256 GB. Some of that space is reserved for system software, so the usable storage will be slightly less.

On the software side, it runs EMUI 14.2, which offers fun features like emoji theme wallpapers, plus practical upgrades like flexible/stackable service widgets and built-in Privacy and Security Centers.

It can capture photos at resolutions up to 8192 × 6144 pixels and record video at 1080p (1920 × 1080). Shooting modes include Photo, Portrait, Pro, Panorama, Aperture, Slow-Mo, and High-Res.

The front camera is an 8 MP sensor (f/2.0) with photo resolution up to 3264 × 2448 pixels and 1080p video recording. Available selfie modes include Photo and Portrait.

One of the Nova 14i’s standout features is its X Button, a dedicated shortcut key on the frame. With a tap, double press, or press-and-hold, users can launch widgets like the flashlight or calculator, jump into favorite apps, or quickly call an emergency contact. It is a small but practical addition that makes everyday use faster and safer.

The phone is a dual SIM 4G LTE device (model STG-LX2) supporting wide band coverage across FDD and TDD networks, plus 3G WCDMA and 2G GSM.
