Realme GT 8 Pro: The Realme GT 8 Pro leak reveals a flagship with a 200MP HP5 periscope camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, 2K 144Hz flat OLED display, and a unique Ricoh-designed swappable camera island.
Imagine a phone that lets you change its camera design just like swapping a watch face. That is exactly what Realme is planning with the GT 8 Pro. A new leak from Gadgetsdata on X shows a bold flagship that mixes style with top performance. While many details were already known, this update adds fresh insight into Realme’s creative new direction.
Design and Swappable Camera Island
The headlining design feature Realme has been teasing is the ability to swap the camera island, effectively changing its shape and style. Thanks to a collaboration with Ricoh, users can reportedly choose between multiple island designs round, square, or another variant. Photos show at least two camera island styles, while the teaser video suggests there could be three or more options.

You cannot move the actual lenses, but the outer module itself can be replaced to change the phone’s appearance. The system seems to use tiny screws rather than a toolless latch, allowing Realme to maintain an impressive IP69 rating, ensuring dust and water resistance even with the removable part.

Display and Performance
The GT 8 Pro is said to feature a 6.78-inch 2K (QHD) flat OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, and LTPO technology, reportedly manufactured by BOE. Under the hood, it will likely run the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM, promising high-end speed and efficiency for gaming and multitasking.
Camera System
Realme’s triple-camera setup looks impressive on paper: a 50MP Sony LYT-808 main sensor (1/1.4″, OIS), a 50MP ultrawide camera (likely ISOCELL JN5), and a 200MP HP5 periscope telephoto lens (1/1.56″) with telemacro capabilities. This combination aims to deliver sharp zoom, stable performance, and detailed macro photography perfect for content creators and enthusiasts alike.
Battery and Other Features
Powering the phone is a 7,000mAh+ battery with 120W fast charging, ensuring long runtime and quick top-ups. It will also include better haptics, improved stereo speakers, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader for reliable unlocking.
