Huawei Mate80 Series: Huawei Mate80 series launches November 25 with four models, Red Maple Imaging System, 14-day Outdoor Mode battery life, and support for dual SIM + dual eSIM built for photographers, travelers, and power users.
Huawei is all set to launch its most awaited Mate80 series on November 25 in China. The company has not shared the full specs yet, but CEO He Gang has already posted amazing camera samples on Weibo. The photos give a clear early look at how powerful the Mate80’s cameras really are, building huge excitement before launch.
Four Models with a Unified Vision
The lineup includes Mate80, Mate80 Pro, Mate80 Pro Max, and Mate80 RS Ultimate Design. Each model continues Huawei’s premium design DNA while bringing significant upgrades in photography and performance. He Gang posted six photos, one taken with the Mate80 RS, two with the Mate80 Pro, and three with the Mate80 Pro Max. None were shot on the base Mate80, suggesting Huawei is saving that reveal for launch day. These ultra-high-resolution 4096x3414px images already hint at a world-class camera system.

Red Maple Imaging: True Colors, Real Detail
At the heart of the Mate80’s photography lies Huawei’s new Red Maple Imaging System, designed to capture colors as naturally as the human eye. The shared images show everything from running horses across open fields to penguins leaping through icy waters and portraits under maple trees, all with lifelike tones and remarkable clarity.

This is made possible by Huawei’s improved multispectral sensor, first seen in the Mate70 series and now enhanced to read more light and color data. The result is a “what you see is what you get” effect, producing balanced, realistic images even in tricky lighting.
Elegant Design and Strong Performance
The Mate80 series continues Huawei’s iconic star-ring camera design, combining a flat display and straight-edged frame for a sleek yet professional look. Every model includes 3D face recognition for secure unlocking. Powering the lineup is Huawei’s Kirin 9030 processor, delivering smooth performance and better energy efficiency. The top-tier Mate80 RS Extraordinary Master goes further with up to 20GB of custom memory, setting a new standard for high-end devices.
Outdoor Mode and Long Battery Life
A major highlight is the new Outdoor Exploration Mode, designed for adventurers. It optimizes battery usage and location tracking, offering up to 14 days of battery life on a single charge. This feature ensures reliable performance even in harsh or remote environments ideal for users who travel or explore outdoors.

With only a few days left until launch, Huawei’s Mate80 series already stands out as a blend of real-world photography, exceptional battery life, and refined performance, a smartphone built to match every lifestyle.
