Galaxy Z Fold 8: Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 leak hints at a flatter inner screen, over 5,000 mAh battery, and the return of the S Pen, a powerful trio that could make it the most complete Fold yet.
If Samsung manages to fix the crease, boost battery life, and bring back the S Pen in one device, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 could finally be the foldable fans have been waiting for. New leaks suggest the upcoming model will deliver a smoother inner display, a much larger battery, and stylus support for productivity lovers.
A cleaner, flatter screen
Leaks reveal Samsung is using a laser-drilled metal plate inside the Fold 8’s display structure. This new layer is designed to reduce the crease that has marked earlier Folds. The same laser-drilling technology is also said to be part of the hinge design, improving both strength and flexibility. Interestingly, this method is rumored to be used in the upcoming iPhone Fold as well.
The Fold 8 will reportedly keep its 8-inch inner display, with a refined aspect ratio and a smoother folding motion for a tablet-like feel when open.

The S Pen and a bigger battery
After skipping stylus support on the Fold 7, Samsung is set to bring back the S Pen with better screen coating for natural pen input. Powering the device could be a battery exceeding 5,000 mAh, a huge jump from the 4,400 mAh Fold 7, promising full-day endurance even with both screens active.
Expected launch
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 in July 2026, with a focus on lighter design, better durability, and top-tier performance.
If these leaks prove accurate, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 could finally combine design, power, and practicality becoming Samsung’s most complete foldable yet.
