HMD Fusion 2: The HMD Fusion 2 may come with a 120Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, 108MP dual cameras, IP65 protection, and Smart Otfits Gen 2 modules.
The modular phone that caught attention in 2024 is coming back stronger. Leaks say the HMD Fusion 2 will feature a smoother 120Hz OLED screen, a faster Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chip, and new Smart Outfits Gen 2 accessories. It looks like HMD wants to make its modular idea more useful for everyday users.
Smoother display and improved design
The Fusion 2 is expected to feature a 6.58-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a clear jump from the first Fusion’s 90Hz panel. Users can expect brighter colors, smoother scrolling, and deeper contrast. The device is also rumored to include an IP65 rating, offering protection against dust and light water exposure.

Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 under the hood
Powering the phone will be the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 SoC, bringing faster and more efficient performance. It should handle multitasking, gaming, and camera tasks with ease while supporting 5G connectivity. Multiple storage and RAM options are expected, with expandable storage for added flexibility.
Dual cameras with OIS
Photography is also getting an upgrade. The Fusion 2 is said to have a 108MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide lens, replacing the older 2MP sensor. This setup promises sharper and wider shots, while the front camera is expected to deliver clearer selfies, even in low light.
Everyday features that count
HMD seems to focus on practicality too. The phone is tipped to include NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, dual speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and POGO Pin 2.0 support for modular attachments, combining modern features with classic convenience.
Smart Outfits Gen 2
The new Smart Outfits Gen 2 modules will connect through POGO Pin 2.0 for faster, more reliable use. HMD will introduce outfits like the Casual Outfit with a kickstand, Wireless Charge Outfit, Rugged Outfit, Gaming Outfit, Camera Grip Outfit, Flashy Outfit, Speaker Outfit, QR and Barcode Scanner Outfit, and Smart Projector Outfit giving users more ways to customize their phone for work or play. However, these new modules might not be compatible with older Fusion models.
