Honor is set to unveil its next-generation clamshell foldable, the Magic V Flip 2, in China on August 21st at 7:30 PM local time. Combining cutting-edge hardware with refined style, it promises to redefine the clamshell foldable experience for 2025.
Available hues span four elegant shades Purplish Lavender (“Morning Purple”), White, Grey/Silver (“Titanium Sky Gray”), and a blue gradient (“Dream Weaver Blue”) variant designed in collaboration with luxury fashion house Jimmy Choo. The latter showcases a sparkling crystal-like pattern on the back and channels haute couture style.

The Magic V Flip 2 will focus heavily on imaging. On the front, users can expect a 50-megapixel selfie camera, delivering high-resolution results for portraits and video calls.
On the rear, the phone will sport a 50-megapixel primary sensor alongside a 12-megapixel secondary lens, providing flexibility for wide-angle or other specialized shots. This marks a refinement over previous expectations of dual equal-sized sensors and aligns with Honor’s balanced approach to camera versatility.
The primary sensor is tipped to be a large 1/1.5-inch unit, ensuring detailed and vibrant shots even in low light.

This next-gen foldable is expected to feature a 6.8-inch Full-HD+ OLED LTPO inner screen and a 4-inch Full-HD+ LTPO cover display, both offering adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz. It could be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, ensuring top-tier performance for multitasking and gaming.
One notable improvement is its battery expansion, with a capacity of 5,500mAh – the largest for a clamshell foldable coupled with 80W wired fast charging support for quick top-ups. This combination could make it one of the most travel-friendly foldables yet.
Storage and RAM options will be generous, with configurations expected at 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, and a top-tier 16GB+1TB. This means users can expect smooth performance and ample space for apps, media, and files without compromise.
