Honor Magic V5: Honor has officially started the global rollout of its Magic V5, bringing the foldable to Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Early sales are live in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Romania, Malaysia, and more countries soon. The launch highlights a phone built to be slimmer, lighter, and stronger than past foldables. With its mix of style and smart features, the Magic V5 is set to grab attention worldwide.

Slim, light, and stronger than ever

At 8.8 mm thin and 217 g light, the Magic V5 is the slimmest book-style foldable to date, breaking away from the bulky image foldables usually carry. Its hinge has been tested for 500,000 folds and is built with a mortise-and-tenon dampening system plus super steel rated at 2,300 MPa for extra impact resistance. The inner display panel uses carbon fiber reinforcement with a strength of 380 GPa, while aerospace-grade special fiber boosts impact strength 40 times compared to regular glass.

The phone also carries IP58/IP59 dust and water resistance, making it more durable than many rivals. Honor AI-powered foreign object detection even scans for particles as small as 0.8 mm, preventing damage from dust or sand.

Big battery in a slim body

Powering the Magic V5 is a 5,820 mAh silicon-carbon battery, the first of its kind in a foldable. It increases energy density by 15 percent, offering longer life without extra bulk. Pair that with AI Power Management, and the V5 can comfortably keep its inner screen on through a full day. Charging is handled by 66 W wired and 50 W wireless SuperCharge, giving users quick refills with or without cables.

Brilliant dual displays with comfort features

The Magic V5 comes with a 7.95-inch LTPO OLED inner screen and a 6.43-inch LTPO OLED cover screen, both running at 120 Hz. They reach 5,000 nits peak brightness, display 1.07 billion colors, and feature 4320 Hz PWM dimming for eye comfort. Honor has also added AI Motion Sickness Relief, which reduces nausea during travel by syncing on-screen motion with vehicle movement.

Both screens support the Honor Magic-Pen, which delivers 4,096 levels of pressure for natural handwriting and sketching across either display.

Snapdragon 8 Elite power with smarter AI

Under the hood is the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor paired with up to 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. Built on a 3 nm process, it brings PC-level performance with improved graphics and efficiency.

AI is central to the Magic V5. Google Gemini assistant is integrated for multitasking and productivity, while Honor’s own AI suite includes split-screen search, AI-powered file sharing with iOS/Mac, and AI Call Translation, which delivers real-time voice translations during conversations. For security, AI Deepfake Detection helps identify and block scam calls.

Cameras designed for creativity

Honor Falcon Camera System combines a 50 MP main, 50 MP ultra-wide, and a 64 MP periscope telephoto with up to 100x AI Super Zoom. The periscope lens also excels at night thanks to a larger aperture, ensuring clear low-light shots.

Fun extras include “Made You Look” animations on the outer screen that keep children entertained during photo sessions, plus AI photo editing tools that remove reflections and imperfections with one tap.

Stylish colors and availability

The Magic V5 comes in Dawn Gold, Reddish Brown, Ivory White, and Black, offering both elegant and bold finishes. Global sales have started in Europe at €1,999 / £1,699 (around $2,300), with availability confirmed for the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, and Romania. The rollout will soon expand to the Middle East, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia, as well as Asia-Pacific markets like Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
