Huawei Mate XTs Ultimate launches with a tri-foldable 10.2-inch OLED display, Kirin 9020 processor, triple cameras, and 5600mAh battery. Coming September 29, priced around $2300.

The device unfolds into a massive 10.2-inch LTPO OLED display with 1 billion colors, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 1440Hz PWM dimming. When folded, users can switch between a 6.4-inch cover display or a 7.9-inch dual-panel mode.

With a folded thickness of 12.8mm and an unfolded slim profile between 3.6mm and 4.8mm, the Mate XTs Ultimate remains relatively portable for a device offering both phone and tablet functions. Its weight comes in at 298 grams.

The phone runs HarmonyOS 5.1 in China, powered by Huawei’s Kirin 9020 chipset built on 7nm technology. The octa-core CPU and Maleoon 920 GPU promise efficient performance and optimized graphics for multitasking and gaming.

Huawei equips the Mate XTs Ultimate with up to 1TB of storage paired with 16GB of RAM. Buyers can also choose 256GB or 512GB options, ensuring flexibility for different usage needs. No microSD expansion slot is included.

The triple-camera system features a 50MP wide lens with variable aperture, a 12MP periscope telephoto with 5.5x optical zoom, and a 40MP ultrawide lens. Features include laser autofocus, HDR, panorama, and 4K video with stabilization.

Selfies are handled by an 8MP wide front camera supporting HDR and 4K video. Huawei’s image processing and HDR Vivid mode aim to deliver balanced colors and low-light clarity.

For audio, stereo speakers enhance the multimedia experience, while Huawei omits the 3.5mm headphone jack. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, QZSS, and NavIC positioning.

A 5600mAh Si/C Li-Ion battery powers the foldable, supporting 66W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and reverse charging at both wired and wireless levels. This ensures full-day usability across phone and tablet modes.

Huawei introduces BDS satellite calling and messaging support in China, further expanding connectivity in areas without mobile coverage. Other features include stylus support, USB-C 3.1 with DisplayPort, and side-mounted fingerprint security.

The Mate XTs Ultimate will be offered in Red, Black, Purple, and White color options. Each finish complements the futuristic design while catering to different style preferences.

The foldable is expected to release on September 29, 2025, with pricing starting around €2160, roughly $2300 in the United States. This positions it directly against Samsung’s foldables and other premium devices.

US buyers can expect three models: the 16GB + 256GB variant, the 16GB + 512GB version, and the high-capacity 16GB + 1TB edition. Availability details for the US market are yet to be confirmed.

Huawei’s second tri-fold smartphone reflects the company’s push to redefine mobile versatility, giving users both a phone and a large-screen tablet experience in one device. Early impressions suggest it could set a new standard in foldable design.
