Huawei is giving the Watch 5 a fresh new look, and it is hard to ignore. Two eye catching colors Galaxy Blue and Aurora Green are joining the lineup, making the smartwatch look cooler than ever. Whether you want something bold or something fresh, these new styles could be the reason you finally get a Watch 5. And the good news? You can grab one soon, with pre orders already open.
Two colors, two sizes
Huawei confirmed on its official Weibo page that each new shade will be exclusive to one watch size. The larger 46 mm Watch 5 gets the Galaxy Blue finish, paired with a denim style strap that adds a casual yet upscale touch. It will sell for 2,999 RMB (about $410).
The smaller 42 mm version comes in Aurora Green with a sleek fluororubber strap, offering a sportier, fitness-friendly feel while still looking refined. This variant will cost 2,699 RMB (around $375).
Both models keep the same premium display tech as before a 1.43 inch AMOLED panel on the 46 mm and a 1.32-inch AMOLED screen on the 42 mm ensuring bright, sharp visuals.
Same flagship features, new style
First launched in May, the Huawei Watch 5 introduced the X-Tap sensor array for more precise health tracking and smoother interactions. It runs HarmonyOS 5, which Huawei promotes as “safer, smoother, and smarter.”
In its latest promotional post, Huawei showed both new colors side by side with the tagline: “Smart companionship, convenient on the go. Powered by HarmonyOS 5, it’s safer, smoother, and smarter.” It is clear the brand is positioning the Watch 5 as more than a health gadget it is being framed as an everyday smart companion.

Galaxy Blue offers a versatile, denim-inspired look that can move seamlessly from the gym to a casual night out, while Aurora Green delivers a refreshing pop of color perfect for active lifestyles.
Official launch at summer event
Huawei will officially unveil these new color options during its 2025 Summer New Product event, scheduled for 2:00 PM. Pre-orders are already open via Huawei’s Vmall online store, giving fans an early chance to secure their preferred model ahead of the August 22 sales date.

The new colors will be available first in China, with no official word yet on international rollout. However, looking at past Huawei launches, a global release could follow in the coming months.
For those waiting to pick up the Watch 5, these color updates add a stylish reason to make the leap. Whether you are drawn to the sporty elegance of Aurora Green or the laid back sophistication of Galaxy Blue, Huawei has found a way to make its flagship wearable even more appealing.
