iOS 26 is available now for all compatible iPhones to download. The update introduces Apple’s new Liquid Glass look and smarter image tools that let your phone understand what’s on screen and answer questions. If you have enough storage and a good WiFi connection it’s time to upgrade.
The design refresh called Liquid Glass borrows visual cues from Apple’s visionOS, bringing smoother animations and translucent layers to iPhone and iPad’s interfaces.
Vision Intelligence is another major feature. It allows users to select or point at objects in images or on-screen, and the system can recognize what you see and answer related questions.
Apple also improved Genmoji and Image Playground, enhancing how you create expressive avatars and manipulate visuals directly from your device.
To install, open Settings → General → Software Update. This version is pretty large, so ensure you are on WiFi and have sufficient free space.
