Nothing Ear (3): Nothing Ear (3) arrives with a sleek metal case, Talk button, Super Mic for calls, 12mm drivers, and 38 hours of battery life priced at $179.

Nothing has officially launched the Ear (3), and these might be its most daring earbuds so far. They keep the familiar transparent look but bring a smart new trick: a Super Mic built into the case. With the new Talk button, the case itself turns into a microphone. Just hold it near your mouth, and your voice comes through clearer for calls or quick voice notes. It feels fun, different, and genuinely useful something you do not see on any other earbuds.

A fresh take on the design

The Ear (3) keeps the brand signature see-through style but levels up with real recycled aluminum in the case, giving it a cooler and sturdier feel. The earbuds themselves gain subtle metallic accents under the transparent shell, making them look sharper without losing the Nothing identity. Available in White or Black, both versions look modern while keeping that distinctive clear finish.

Super Mic and call upgrades

The headline feature is the dual-mic Super Mic system in the case, which Nothing says can cut up to 95dB of background noise. On calls, you can switch from the earbuds’ microphones to the case, holding it like a mini handset for much clearer audio in noisy spaces. Each earbud also adds three microphones and a bone-conduction voice pickup unit, giving speech a cleaner edge against wind or city noise.

Sound and smart features

For music, the Ear (3) brings 12mm dynamic drivers tuned for bigger bass and a wider soundstage. Audio support includes LDAC Hi-Res, AAC, and SBC, plus static Spatial Audio for an immersive effect. Adaptive noise cancellation is rated up to 45dB, automatically adjusting to your surroundings.

Other features include Bluetooth 5.4 with dual-connection support, customizable EQ in the Nothing X app, low-lag mode for gaming, and IP54 resistance for both the earbuds and the case. Nothing Phone users even get direct integration for saving voice notes and quick ChatGPT prompts via gestures.

Battery life and charging

Playback runs up to 10 hours per charge (around 5.5 hours with ANC on) and up to 38 hours with the case. A 10-minute top-up gives about 10 hours of listening, and the case supports wireless charging for extra convenience.

Price and availability

The Nothing Ear (3) is priced at $179 / £179 / €179, with pre-orders open now and general sales starting on September 25, 2025.

By mixing a bold new Talk-to-the-case Super Mic with upgraded sound and design, Nothing Ear (3) feels like more than just another pair of earbuds it is a fresh take on how we use them every day.
