Remix any photo right in Messages
Google Messages now lets you edit and remix photos directly in chats using the Nano Banana AI model. You can doodle, restyle, or reimagine images without switching apps and everyone in the chat can see your creations. If both users have Google Messages, you can even remix the same photo back and forth, making conversations more playful and personal.

Add a touch of magic with ‘Wicked: For Good’ themes
Inspired by the film Wicked, Google has added three magical theme packs For Good, Glinda, and Elphaba complete with custom wallpapers, icons, GIFs, and system sounds. With one tap, you can give your Pixel an enchanting new look.
Smarter notifications and scam protection
Pixel phones now feature AI-powered notification summaries that turn long group chats into quick updates in your notification shade. Starting in December, low-priority alerts will be automatically grouped and silenced to help you stay focused.
The update also expands Scam Detection to more messaging apps. It analyzes chat notifications in real time and shows a clear “Likely scam” warning if anything looks suspicious.
Smarter photos, better battery, and new perks
In Google Photos, AI now helps you fix pictures naturally by using other photos of the same person to open eyes or remove sunglasses. Google Maps Power Saving Mode debuts for the Pixel 10 lineup, extending battery life by up to four hours during navigation.
Pixel 8 and 9 users get access to the new Pixel Journal app, while Pixel Fold owners gain a Magnifier app for accessibility. A Device Health and Support hub is also coming to Pixel 6 and newer devices. Plus, Pixel VIPs now enjoy priority message alerts and a crisis badge in Contacts for emergency updates.
The improved Magic Cue offers more timely suggestions using Private AI Compute, keeping data secure while enhancing productivity.
