OnePlus 15: The OnePlus 15 launches in China with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, a 165Hz OLED display, and a 7300mAh Glacier Battery with 120W fast charging. It also brings flagship cameras, rugged durability, and a gaming-focused design.
The OnePlus 15 is the official next-generation flagship from the brand, combining top performance, bold design, and gaming-focused power. It runs on the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, supports smooth 165-fps gaming, and packs a massive 7300mAh Glacier Battery. With its new “Dune Aesthetics” design, it delivers both style and strength in one sleek package.
Design and Colors
The OnePlus 15 draws inspiration from outer space, featuring a clean and bold “Metal Cube DECO” camera island and an aerospace-grade nano-ceramic metal frame. The Original Sand Dune color has a cool, metallic finish with a composite back, while Absolute Black brings a soft matte “Silk Glass” surface. Mist Purple stands out with its flowing light shimmer that changes hues at different angles.
Despite its large battery, the phone remains slim and balanced 8.1 mm thick and 211 g for the Sand Dune model, while the darker finishes reach 8.2 mm and 215 g. Ultra-thin 1.15 mm bezels on all sides deliver a 95.5% screen-to-body ratio, adding to its premium look and feel.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 performance with a gaming edge
At its core, the OnePlus 15 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 “Extreme Edition”, built on a 3 nm process. It uses an 8-core CPU with two “super cores” clocked at 4.6 GHz and an Adreno 840 GPU running at 1200 MHz.

For gamers, OnePlus introduces its custom Wind-Chill Game Kernel, designed to coordinate CPU, GPU, and NPU performance for sustained 165-fps gaming and reduced power consumption. Its Esports Triple-Chip system includes a performance chip, a G2 network chip for stronger Wi-Fi and 5G, and a Lingxi touch chip offering up to 3200 Hz touch response for instant control.
Storage options range from 12GB to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring smooth multitasking and gaming even under heavy loads.
165Hz OLED Display
The phone features a 6.78-inch flat BOE OLED panel known as the “Oriental Screen.” It offers 1.5K resolution (2772×1272), 10-bit color, and full DCI-P3 coverage. The adaptive LTPO 8T display runs between 1–120 Hz and supports 165 Hz in compatible apps and games.

Peak brightness reaches 1800 nits, and OnePlus includes features like low-blue-light filtering, a 1-nit ultra-low night mode, and motion-sickness reduction. It is TÜV-certified for eye protection and factory-calibrated for accurate color reproduction.
Battery and Charging
The 7300mAh Glacier Battery uses dual cells and supports 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. A 15-minute top-up delivers 50% charge, while a full charge completes in about 40 minutes.

The phone also supports bypass charging, allowing users to play while plugged in without heating the battery. OnePlus claims the battery retains over 80% capacity after five years, with real-world use providing around 19 hours of short-video use or nearly 7 hours of continuous 165-fps gaming.

The 32MP front camera supports autofocus and HDR selfies. Video recording includes 8K 30fps, 4K up to 120fps, and Dolby Vision HDR support. AI tools like Portrait Fill-Light, Passer-by Removal, and Super Text make photo and video editing easier and more creative.
Cooling and Durability
To maintain strong performance during gaming, the OnePlus 15 features the Glacier Cooling System with an ultra-thin vapor chamber and “supercritical aerogel” insulation. OnePlus claims it stays cool even after extended gameplay.

The phone is IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certified for water and dust resistance. It also includes dual stereo speakers, an X-axis haptic motor, an IR blaster, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that works even when wet.
Sensors and Materials
The OnePlus 15 comes loaded with sensors including proximity, ambient light, color temperature, electronic compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, laser focus, spectrum, Hall, infrared remote, and under-screen ultrasonic fingerprint.
It uses Corning Gorilla Glass for screen protection, an aluminum alloy middle frame, and a Crystal Shield Glass back for Absolute Black and Mist Purple. The Original Sand Dune variant uses a glass-fiber composite back for added grip and durability.
The USB Type-C port supports both digital and analog headphones via USB 3.2 Gen 1, and it includes Dual Nano SIM slots for full 5G dual-mode connectivity.
