Oppo A5i Pro 5G: Oppo A5i Pro 5G comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a 6000mAh battery, 120Hz display, and IP65 durability. It starts at $188 in Malaysia and $220 in China, with a free extended warranty for early buyers.

The Oppo A5i Pro 5G is here with a big battery, a smooth display, and a tougher design that stands out in its class. It is a phone made for people who want something reliable for everyday use, with the right mix of power, durability, and modern features. With its clean design and useful extras, it feels built to handle daily life with ease.

Design that balances simplicity and toughness

At first glance, the A5i Pro 5G keeps the clean, minimalist look that defines Oppo A-series. But this model adds more durability with an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance along with military-grade shock protection. It measures 165.71mm tall, 76.24mm wide, and just 7.99mm thick, weighing about 194 grams. The front is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while the back comes in two finishes Breeze Blue and Midnight Purple for a subtle, stylish touch.

Smooth screen built for outdoor use

The phone features a 6.67-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution (1604 × 720 pixels). It refreshes at 120Hz and offers a 240Hz touch sampling rate, making scrolling, gaming, and animations noticeably smoother. With 850 nits of typical brightness and up to 1000 nits in High Brightness Mode, the screen remains usable even under strong sunlight. It also supports 88% DCI-P3 in vivid mode and 100% sRGB in natural mode, providing decent color accuracy for videos and apps.

Reliable performance and storage

The A5i Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, which brings an octa-core CPU and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU for balanced performance. It runs ColorOS 15.0.1 out of the box and comes in two memory options: 8GB RAM with 256GB storage or 4GB RAM with 128GB storage. Both versions use LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, with a microSD slot for extra space. USB OTG is also supported.

Cameras that cover the basics

On the back, the phone carries a 50MP main camera (f/1.8, 76° FOV) alongside a 2MP monochrome sensor (f/2.4). For selfies, there is an 8MP front camera (f/2.0, 80° FOV). Shooting modes include Portrait, Night, Panorama, Pro, SLO-MO, Time-lapse, and Dual-view video. Video recording supports 1080p at 30fps or 60fps on the rear (though the 60fps mode is not available on the 4GB RAM variant), along with 720p slow-motion at 120fps and time-lapse recording.

Battery that keeps going

Battery life is one of the phone’s main highlights. It packs a 6000mAh typical capacity (5860mAh rated) battery with support for 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging. Oppo also lists support for PPS (11V/3A), VOOC 3.0 (5V/3A), and PD (9V/1.5A) standards, ensuring wide charger compatibility. In the box, Oppo includes the charger, cable, SIM tool, and even a protective case, so users can get started right away.

Connectivity and extras

The phone is well equipped for connectivity, offering dual SIM support, a wide range of 5G bands including n77 and n78, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4 with SBC, AAC, LDAC, aptX, and aptX HD codecs, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. For security, users can rely on a side-mounted fingerprint sensor or facial recognition.

Pricing and availability

In China, the Oppo A5i Pro 5G starts at CNY 1,599 (around $220) for the 8GB/256GB model. A higher-storage 8GB/512GB version is listed at CNY 1,799 (around $250).

In Malaysia, the phone is priced at MYR 799 (about $188), making it one of the more affordable 5G-ready devices in the region. As part of a limited-time promotion, buyers who purchase from the Oppo online store before September 16 will also receive a free one-year extended warranty.

Oppo has not confirmed global availability, but given the A-series history, expansion to more markets is expected soon.
