The first “invisible crease” foldable
While Google has been improving its foldable hinge designs for years, this time it appears to be going all in. According to the leak, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold uses a liquid-layer display substrate that fills in micro-gaps when the screen is unfolded, rendering the crease effectively invisible under most lighting conditions. This would make it the first foldable in the US market to achieve such a seamless panel.
The display technology reportedly works in tandem with a dual-pivot hinge crafted from a titanium-aluminum composite. Early prototypes are said to survive over 500,000 folds more than double the durability claims of most competitors.
