Realme GT 8 Pro: Realme GT 8 Pro debuts with a 2K 144Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 “Elite” chip, Ricoh GR-tuned 50MP camera, 200MP periscope zoom, 7,000mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, and IP69 durability.
The Realme GT 8 Pro is made to stand out with power and style. It packs a sharp 2K 144Hz display, a huge 7,000mAh battery, and the fast Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 “Elite” chip with a special R1 gaming processor. Its biggest highlight is the swappable camera island, letting you change the phone’s look in minutes using the tiny screwdriver that comes in the box.
Design that invites tinkering
Realme is pushing smartphone personalization further with the GT 8 Pro’s swappable camera housing. Users can switch between round, square, or robot-style modules held in place by two Torx screws and magnetic locks. The brand even released a 3MF file for 3D printing custom designs and is running a MakerWorld contest for the most creative ideas.

The phone’s mechanical assembly design comes in White, Blue, and Green, all built to endure with IP66, IP68, and IP69 protection. Size-wise, it measures 161.8 × 76.87 × 8.30 mm for Blue/Green or 8.20 mm for White, and weighs around 214 g (Blue/Green) or 218 g (White). Despite its rugged build, it stays sleek and stylish in hand.

Display built for speed and sunlight

Up front is a 6.79-inch flexible AMOLED panel with QHD+ (3136×1440) resolution, 10-bit color, and 144Hz refresh rate. It hits 2,000 nits typical brightness and can peak up to an incredible 4,000 nits in localized highlights (and 7,000 nits peak under lab testing). Touch sampling hits 3,200 Hz for lightning-fast response, and full-path DC dimming reduces flicker.
This display easily stands among the brightest and most fluid panels in the industry tailor-made for gaming and HDR content.
Dual-chip power with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5
Inside, the GT 8 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 8 (5th-gen) “Elite Edition”, reaching up to 4.60 GHz clock speed. Realme’s dedicated R1 e-sports display chip helps manage refresh rate, frame stability, and visual rendering for gaming sessions.

Storage and memory options are generous: up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. The phone does not support microSD, but OTG is included for external devices.
Ricoh GR camera flavor with real reach
Realme’s new partnership with Ricoh brings photography flair to the GT 8 Pro. The 50MP Ricoh GR main camera (1/1.56-inch sensor, f/1.8) offers the same full-frame equivalent focal lengths as Ricoh’s GR cameras 28mm and 40mm and supports five of Ricoh’s signature tones: Positive, Negative, High-contrast Black & White, Standard, and Monochrome.

It is joined by a 16mm equivalent 50MP ultrawide lens (f/2.0, 116° FOV) and a 65mm equivalent 200MP periscope telephoto (f/2.6, dual-axis OIS, ISOCELL HP5 sensor). The periscope supports 3× optical zoom and up to 12× lossless zoom, making it one of the most capable telephoto cameras in its class.
Video tools for creators
The GT 8 Pro records up to 8K at 30fps, 4K up to 120fps, and Dolby Vision HDR at both 4K and 1080p. Slow-motion modes reach 4K 120fps, 1080p 240fps, and 720p 480fps. A Log video mode with official LUTs lets creators fine-tune footage for cinematic color grading.
The 32MP front camera supports 4K/60fps video recording with EIS and Dolby Vision for premium vlogging quality.

Battery that looks built for two days

Powering the GT 8 Pro is a 7,000mAh dual-cell battery (rated 6,850mAh) using two silicon-carbon cells. It supports 120W SuperVOOC wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Realme’s wide protocol support (UFCS, PD, PPS, QC, and various VOOC standards) means faster top-ups with many existing chargers.
Despite its massive battery, the phone stays thin at just 8.2 mm, slimmer than the previous GT7 Pro.
Audio, haptics, and extras

The GT 8 Pro includes symmetric dual speakers (dual 1115E) with NBass enhancement for deep sound and an 0816 ultra-wideband haptic motor for crisp vibration feedback. You also get an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, face unlock, and dual-frequency GNSS for pinpoint location accuracy.
Connectivity is flagship-level too:
- 5G NR: broad global band coverage
- Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) with 160 MHz bandwidth
- Bluetooth “6.0” with BLE and BLE Audio (Realme’s listed terminology)
- NFC with eSE for payments, transit, and eID
- USB-C port supporting both digital and analog Type-C headsets
