Snapdragon 6s Gen 4: Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 brings 36% faster CPU speeds, a 59% GPU boost, FHD+ 144Hz display support, and up to 200MP camera capabilities making affordable phones faster, smoother, and smarter than ever.

Qualcomm has launched the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, its new mid-range chip and a big upgrade from last year’s 6s Gen 3. It brings faster performance, smoother gaming, and stronger 5G and Wi-Fi 6E connections. With support for FHD+ 144Hz displays, this chip is made to give affordable phones a truly premium feel without the premium price.

Built on a faster, smarter 4nm process

The Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 (SM6435-AA) is made on Samsung’s 4nm process, delivering higher efficiency and performance. Qualcomm says the new design offers up to 36% faster CPU speeds and 59% improved GPU performance compared to the 6s Gen 3.

Gaming that feels flagship-grade

The new Adreno GPU boosts visuals and supports HDR gaming with OpenGL ES 3.2, Vulkan 1.1, and OpenCL 2.0 FP. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Elite Gaming suite adds:

  • Variable Rate Shading (VRS): Renders detailed areas in full resolution while lowering background detail to save power.
  • Game Quick Touch: Reduces touch latency for faster, more responsive gameplay.

These features bring fluid performance and sharp graphics, making gaming on mid-range devices feel like a premium experience especially with 144Hz FHD+ screens.

Better photos and videos with Spectra ISP

The Qualcomm Spectra ISP supports up to 200MP photos and 2K HDR video at 30fps, capturing sharp details and rich colors. It also includes Multi-Frame Noise Reduction (MFNR) for clearer low-light photos and 720p slow motion at 240fps. Camera setups can go up to dual 16+16MP or a single 32MP sensor, allowing manufacturers flexible design choices.

Smarter connectivity and sound

Powered by the Qualcomm 5G Modem-RF System, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 supports Release 16 5G, mmWave, and sub-6GHz with speeds up to 2.9Gbps. It also includes Smart Transmit 2.0, AI-Enhanced Signal Boost, and 5G PowerSave 2.0 for stable and efficient connections.

Connectivity improves further with Wi-Fi 6/6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and Snapdragon Sound, providing clearer audio, faster downloads, and more reliable streaming.

Ready for 2026’s mid-range phones

The chip supports up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM (3200MHz) and UFS 3.1 storage, plus Quick Charge 4+ and USB-C (USB 3.1). Qualcomm’s Location Suite enhances GPS accuracy, and 3D Sonic Sensor Max provides secure fingerprint recognition.

Phones powered by this chip are expected from Motorola, Xiaomi, Redmi, HONOR, OPPO, and possibly Samsung’s Galaxy A series in early 2026, bringing flagship-style performance to the mid-range market.
