Xiaomi 17 Series: Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max launch on September 25 in China with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, HyperOS 3, universal 100W charging, and advanced OLED tech.
Xiaomi has confirmed the launch date for its next flagship lineup. The Xiaomi 17 series will debut on September 25 at 7 PM Beijing time (11 AM UTC), a bit earlier than many expected. The lineup will include three models: Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max. On Weibo, the company described them as its “strongest standard flagship,” “most refined small-size tech camera flagship,” and “peak tech camera flagship.” Together, they mark a big step forward in design, charging, and display technology.
A Compact Base and Camera-Focused Pros
The Xiaomi 17 introduces a 6.3-inch flat OLED display with a 19.6:9 aspect ratio and ultra-thin 1.18 mm bezels, making it one of the most compact flagships of the year.
The Xiaomi 17 Pro shares the same screen specs but adds extra camera features along with the new “Miaoxiang back screen” a secondary display on the rear for glanceable info, selfies, and creative framing.
At the top sits the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, which pairs Xiaomi’s boldest display innovations with its most advanced camera hardware.
Displays Efficiency and Innovation
All three models feature M10 luminescence technology, which Xiaomi claims delivers the industry’s highest luminous efficiency of 82.1 cd/A. This upgrade promises brighter screens with improved power savings and longer lifespan.

The Pro Max goes even further with a new independently arranged RGB pixel stack that eliminates pixel pooling. This design not only sharpens clarity but also reduces power use by 26% compared to traditional 2K displays.
Both the 17 Pro and Pro Max also gain the Miaoxiang rear screen, adding a new layer of interactivity.
Charging and Battery Faster and More Flexible

A standout upgrade is 100W PPS fast charging across the entire lineup. Unlike before, users can now get high-speed charging with both Xiaomi and third-party USB-PD PPS chargers.

The Pro models feature the new Jinshajiang battery with a stacked L-shaped design and 16% high-silicon content. Xiaomi says the Pro Max can fully charge in about 40 minutes, branding the system as “Max-level endurance.”
Power and Software
The lineup runs Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with HyperOS 3 (based on Android 16), promising AI-driven features, smoother multitasking, and higher efficiency.
Global release and pricing remain unconfirmed, but leaks suggest the Pro Max may stay China-exclusive at launch.
With slimmer bezels, cutting-edge OLED panels, and universal fast charging, the Xiaomi 17 series looks ready to set new standards when it debuts on September 25.
